“Maiden Grass” is an appropriate name for such a tall, graceful and striking plant. Arching silvery leaf-stalks reach 6 to 8 feet high and are topped by fruiting stems that end in large feathers. It provides year-long interest wherever planted, but serves well as an anchor at the end of a border, or as an exotic companion for shrubs. Especially beautiful when breezes move the feathers.
